    29 KB Rapidshare dumps in /h/ Anonymous ## Mod 11/26/06(Sun)16:17 No.487
People are starting to get bad about this again... I've counted about six threads of Rapidshare dumps in the first two pages of /h/ alone. There is no rule against it, but there was a sticky for it not too long ago.

    Recommendations?

/rs to put us all out of misery?

I think a sticky or a "Rapidshare dump thread" even would probably help. Seeing as I've been swatting them from /t it's no wonder they're piling up elsewhere.

I like the idea for a /rs/. It is a very effective way to transfer files after all. Why not encourage it?

I know it's been suggested before...actually I think it was suggested a long time ago but I'm not sure exactly what all the arguments against it were. Probably need a few new janitors just to keep it in line though.

I'm for it too, and not only cause I run rapidsearch :)

As far as boards go, it'd be about the lowest bandwidth usage. Right there next to /t/, which can't be much.
It'd also cut down on the rapidshare dumps in other boards, as the people whoring their collectors accounts would have somewhere non-destructive to do it in.

I do kind of wonder how well rules could be upkept though. With all boards flooding a /rs itd be pretty chaotic. The content seems like itd vary a lot in quality too...the extra steps in starting a torrent tends to keep some dips from posting worthless crap.

I agree, a /rs/ would be an excellent idea. As long as it didn't end up being like /r/, which is in the realm of possibility.
