That's why a 1 hour tempban might
be a good idea. It lets us stop the idiots from posting CP or whatever,
and if we were wrong, the mods (whenever they show up) can remove it (or
let it expire). If a janitor is doing a lot of 1 hour bans that were
over-banning, that should be very obvious. They don't even have to be full bans, what >>920 suggested would work perfectly fine, I think.
Maybe
add a way for janitors to get feedback on their bans? Like have a page
where they can see the banrequests that were not accepeted. Right now I
don't know if I'm underrequesting or overrequesting unless a mod yells
at me on IRC. (Only really useful in combination with giving janitors
more banning power, but would still be nice to have otherwise. Again,
I'd be glad to help code this stuff) |
