I'll be kind of on-and-off as far as how much stuff I can do until
about January 10. A relative over for the holidays has forced me to
share both computers I have with a relative that goes on 4chan and likes
to troll /e/, so I'll be uninstalling the janiteam extention. I might
be able to do some stuff with like, a thumb drive firefox or something,

I just woke up, and on /r/ there was a
request for some very blatant furry content. It was nicely answered, in
the form of an embedded RAR containing a giant pile of pics.
Then
the OP thanked the replier. No one said "hey furry isn't allowed here",

haven't had any real complaints. Got an odd response the other day
though. Someone posted a RS to something I wouldn't mind having, so I
thought I'd be nice, and request a torrent with a hint of 'rules etc'
instead of just killing it. The next user replied.
"You're better
off reporting it and going on your way until the janitors learn to work
effeciently enough." Or something along those lines.
I'm not sure exactly what the hell that means, but it's the first reference I've seen, so I can't be too bad heh.
I'm
noticing more posts going off on tangents recently though. I might
start being slightly more nazi'ish if posts start getting closer to /b

been getting requests and uploads of licenced hentai over on /h/ too
lately, and there seems to be a trend of making posts along the lines of
"/r/ fails, so I'm asking here". Usually using those exact words.
Making posts go to the cornfield is fine, but it would be nice to have

my own post on this. /r/ seems to be increasingly spammed with the same
requests over and over. (And when no janitors are around, they get
happily answered :( )
Either ban requests I'm making are being
ignored, or there are a lot of people requesting the same stupid shit
all the time. Things like:
# Clubstripes content (furry pornsite)
# Warez. Good lord, so much fucking warez.
# anime (Why is this disallowed? We have a separate rule for licensed content, and the division for hentai/anime is blurry.)
# Pornsite passwords. (Nearly always bangbros, for some reason)
Pre-janitors, this stuff didn't seem to get deleted, ever. So I think people are still presuming there are no /r/ janitors/mods.
Can
we please get a temporary sticky (HEY THERE ARE RULES YOU SHOULD FOLLOW
THEM), some public bans, or at the very least more accepted bans? | ###.###.###.### | |

whining about YOU. Yeah, it sucks...but guess what? A post whining
about the "nazi janitors" that doesn't magically disappear is a
blessing. It sticks out like a sore thumb saying "SUP, I HAVEN'T BEEN
DELETED, LOOKIT ME!", and if it was a tripcode user- makes them look
like a whining idiot.
This might be a nice place to talk about
what you've learned janitoring your respective boards. Just keep in
mind, a lot of boards are very different, so qualify your comments well,
and when reading what fellow janitors say, it may be very contextual.
As foone and I were talking about on IRC just now, /r and /o are
janitored in VERY different ways :-)

but since most of these requests are filled and create good threads,
it's not really a problem.
Oh, and the stencil threads are

far as I know, blue hasn't been used to denote escalated reports. It's
been ban requests, which no longer apply to janitors/aren't displayed.
Esclated posts aren't of a concern to janitors since it's the moderators
who will be dealing with them. Moderators aren't going to be escalating
posts for janitors to deal with.
